#2 Habit To Lose This Year

I guess you’re wondering “what could be the number two habit to lose this year?” Alright then; try guessing. Hahaha. I’m sure you didn’t think of this. Our number two habit to lose this year is: Inferiority Complex.

Enough of that crazy thought pattern called inferiority complex. You don’t need that anymore. Stop comparing yourself to other people. It always ends up making you feel inferior to them. You are a unique individual uniquely made to suit your life’s purpose. There will always be someone taller, shorter, fairer, prettier and so on as long as the earth remains. Get secure in who you are.
So should I switch to superiority complex then? No! Both inferiority and superiority complex result from unnecessary comparison of yourself with other people and both of them are an imbalance in your perception of yourself.
What should we do then? Follow what Romans 12:3 says “…do not think of yourself more highly than you ought but rather think of yourself with sober judgement…” Think of all the things that make you stand out and rejoice. Find peace in the way you are.
But I Don’t Like The Way I am

Yes, we all do too. We all have aspects of us that we are not comfortable with and would love to change like body weight, mannerisms, attitude, hair, looks etc. And pondering on these things continually fuels the feelings that increase inferiority complex. If it’s something that can be changed or improved upon, please do something about it. Re-invent yourself if you can.  But if nothing can be done, then learn to live with it. It will make your life much easier.
Renew Your Mind
Inferiority complex is a mindset. It’s a perception in your mind that you are not good enough. Who needs such this year??? Girl, that’s sooooo old school. Renew your mind by reading books and listening to positive words that boost your confidence. This will in turn diminish and extinguish the flames of inferiority complex. The antidote to inferiority complex is self-confidence.
