It's Not the End of the World


Many things happen that make it seem like it's the end of the world. You begin to wonder "how can I make it through this?" A part of you wishes that the earth will just swallow you up. Of course, that would make things easier than having to go through what you currently have to go through.

You spend many days with confusing emotions back to back - smiling, crying, happy, sad and angry simultaneously. The cycle continues and you begin to wonder "will this ever end?" It's a crazy place to be, I tell you, but the truth is

1. Everything is working together for your good.
2. God will not put on you more than you can bear.
3. He's an ever present help in time of need. That means he's with you in that situation and he's the only reason why you've not lost your mind or your life through it all.
4. You can never have a better yesterday.
5. Everything that has a beginning has an end. This too shall pass. You will not feel this way forever.
6. God will give you double for your shame.
7. Tables are turning in your favour.

YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR.


There's  this song I heard recently titled "Live through it" by James Fortune. It will encourage you greatly.

You can't afford to give up on life now. You can't afford to give up on yourself now. You can't afford to give up on you now. Push through the rugged situations. More glorious days lie ahead. You can only experience them if you live through it.

Remember those dreams you had of becoming great and of a great future? They will all come to pass if you don't give up now. Stand up. Dust yourself. Take each day as it comes.

Learn to live again.
Learn to love again.
Learn to dream again.
Take a leap again.



P.S - It's good to be back on the blog again. I apologize for the long silence. I got busy with life and all. But by God's grace, I'm back for good. Definitely missed you all.

Five Things Her Make up Says About Her


Yes ooo. I bet you didn't realise that the way a lady does her make up says something about her? Well, this post is set to open ya eyes *wink*. Read it and see how true it is and  which applies to you.

1. Bold make up


If she's fond of wearing bold make up, especially bold red lips (or any other bold lip colour) , it shows that she's bold, fearless and not afraid to be herself. She also doesn't care about people's opinions about her.

2. Light make up


If she's fond of wearing light make up, it shows that she's a conservative and reserved person who likes to look good but doesn't like drawing too much attention to herself.

3. No make up
A lady who hardly uses make up is one of two things. It's either she belongs to a religious sect / church which does not allow make up or she doesn't know how to make up. Simple! This may also mean that she never 'tear eye' with regards to global trends. No offense meant. It's her face and she has a right to do whatever she likes with it.

4. Trendy make up


A lady who does trendy make up (rave of the moment make up) is one who keeps up with trends, is up to date and doesn't want to be counted as backward in any way. So, if purple lipstick is the rave of the moment, whether or not if fits her, you'll find her rocking it.

5. Different make up styles (bold, light and no make up). A lady who uses different make up styles is a lady whose different moods reflects in / guides what she does. This doesn't apply to her make up alone but to every other areas of her life.

Surviving with a Difficult Boss


This post is dedicated to my working women and everyone who has to deal with a difficult boss...

There are some situations we wish we could change but we can't. There are some we've even prayed would change but they still remain the same. If you're presently working with a boss who's difficult, this post is for you. I hope you find it helpful.

1. Remember why you're there - for work (the money) and not for friendship or a pampering. Focus on doing your job.

2. Understand that his/her nasty disposition may be a result of his/her temperament and upbringing. Both things programme people to behave the way they do.

3. Understand what satisfies / pleases your boss and do it. This will save you a whole lot of trouble. It's because some people understood how to handle bitter leaf, despite its bitterness, that it can be used to make soup today.

4. Don't take it personal (very important if you must maintain your sanity). Many of the terrible things your boss does is not because of you or anything you did. It's simply his / her way of handling things.

5. Understand that stressful situations, especially ones that result to more spending, are not easy to handle and may bring about more nasty behaviours from your boss.

5. When issues arise, focus more on tendering your apology than explaining why it happens except you're called upon to explain. Most difficult bosses HATE it when you try to give unsolicited explanation when they're scolding you about something.

6. Go the extra mile... this is very important. Update your knowledge and skills daily so as to be versatile. Nothing pacifies any boss as this. You no longer seem like a liability, a necessary evil, a recurrent expenditure... You become a valuable asset and people don't lay off assets just like that.

7. Develop a way to diffuse the bad blood that arises when there's tension at work triggered by your boss. I find that listening to good songs on my phone via an earpiece helps a lot. Find what works for you.

8. Don't let the happenings truncate your productivity. Don't expect encouragement or nice words (since you know he/she doesn't give them easily). Just do everything as unto the Lord and do it with excellence. Whatever happens, your work of excellence will speak for you eventually.

9. Take it as a training experience on how to handle difficult people. The situation will end up working for your good if you put on this attitude.

Nothing lasts forever. While you have to remain there, do your best survive. Fighting with your boss is a big no no. If you feel you can't survive there, take a bow and look for somewhere else. The truth is that even with the kindest of bosses, there are still days when he/she acts in unpleasant ways. Just like there is no perfect person, there is no perfect boss.

Stay focused! Stay strong!

Five - ish *Tips for managing the heat season*




Heat Season Edition 

Thank God for the first weekend in March.

As much as we wish that this time of the year never comes because of the intense heat, it's here all the same. Aside from causing us to drink plenty cold water/drinks, the season also comes with things like heat rashes, sunburn and the likes. Today on five-ish, here are five TIPS to help you manage this season more adequately.

1. If you must go under the sun, do use sun glasses. Sunglasses are not for effizy (fashion) alone. They're mean to protect your precious eyes from the damaging effects of the blazing sun. They come in various shapes and sizes so pick the one that suits you. If you keep forming macho and exposing your eyes to the harsh sun rays, you may eventually develop eye-related issues before you get to forty.


2. Use sunscreen daily, especially If you go out daily. If you use a lightening cream which does not have sunscreen in it, use it at night alone and use a moisturising cream and sunscreen in the day time. This is because the lightening cream may react adversely when you're under the sun leading to sunburn or adverse reactions.

3. If you don't have sunscreen, always go out with a scarf wrapped around your head and face. This will protect your face, which has the most contact with the sun, from sunburn. You can also wrap it around your shoulders if your wearing a sleeveless top to protect your hands from sunburn. When it comes to sunburn, prevention is key. Sunburn caused by just 30 minutes under the sun may take many months to undo.


4. Have an anti-bacterial cream such as Funbact - A on standby to treat any outbreak of heat rashes as they appear. Some people prefer dusting powder or our local moju powder. These are good but end up leaving the affected area with dark patches. Funbact - A does a better job.


5. Choose a hair style that makes the heat more bearable. Hairstyles such as Ghana weaving and normal braids are more comfortable in this season. If you must use weave-ons, choose a style that you can easily wrap upwards to prevent it from touching and reacting with your neck.

While we await the arrival of the rainy season, these tips will help you get through the heat season more comfortably. Have a splendid weekend.

Five - ish


Five (5) is the number of grace. Grace releases to us things that we don't have or merit. Here are our top five facts of the day for your reading pleasure. Happy reading!

1. Research has proven that as women age, they're more likely to have twins. Women over 30 are more likely to have twins. This is because as they age, they have greater fluctuations in the follicle stimulating hormone (FSH) which stimulates egg production during ovulation. This leads to the production and release of more than one egg per cycle, leading to fraternal twins.

2. Identical twins happen by chance, though If it's common in your family bloodline, you're more prone to it.

3. Medical experts state that vagina douching is dangerous and unnecessary as it interferes with both the vagina's normal self-cleaning and with the natural bacterial culture of the vagina. Thus, it might spread or introduce infections and increase one's risk to diseases. The vagina cleans itself on the inside with natural fluids, so it is not necessary to douche. The best way to clean the outside of your vagina is to wash with warm water and gentle, scent-free soap during a bath or shower.


4. Eating egg or chicken meat regularly can affect your menstrual cycle leading to fluctuations in its length. This is because both step up the oestrogen level in your level which may cause your ovulation and periods to come much earlier. If you're a mature lady and your menstrual cycle still fluctuates, this could be one of the causes.


5. Breast milk changes to suit the babies needs. When the baby is ill, more colostrum is produced in the mother's Breast milk to help the baby get well. See a mother's testimony here.

TURNING YOUR FEMININITY ON IN BUSINESS

Happy new month. May God do exceedingly above all you ask, think or imagine this March. This is an inspirational piece to make you excel more in buisness. Happy reading.

There's something unique about a woman that makes the earth and the world respond to her favourably - HER FEMININITY. That's why places where a man may be rejected, a woman is accepted and helped with ease. As long as you operate in your Femininity, the earth and those in it will help you and respond to you favourably. But, if you refuse to turn on your Femininity, you may find things unnecessarily difficult. Today, I wanna show you how to turn your Femininity on in Business. Are you ready?

1. Keep a smiling face and a cheerful disposition.
Nothing lights up a woman's face and draws people to her like cheerfulness. It creates a warm aura around you that draws people to you. I know you like to look reserved, no kwalms. But if you deal with people in Business, you have to put this on every day. It will not only attract people to you but make them relate better with you which will eventually translate to more sales and referrals. Try it out.

2. Be kind and avoid using a harsh voice except when it's necessary.
There's something your voice tone does to those around you that eventually affects your business. A harsh voices elicits harshness from those you deal with while a soft tone and a kind disposition provokes both a favourable response.

3. Include something extra.
Traditionally, it is an accepted fact that a woman naturally transforms an empty house to a beautiful home and  raw food into a delicious meal. Bring your creative feminine skills into business by adding something extra to your business modus operandi. Upgrade your packaging and presentation, find ways to make your goods or service delivery more attractive, appealing and inviting. Try the JARA principle by adding value added services or bonuses to your customers when they come to you. It could be as little as a bottle of malt, a free belt, shower cap or hair net with your sales. Remember that it was in the process of extending kindness to a thirsty Eleazar (Abraham's servant) that Rebecca landed herself a mega deal (Isaac). The JARA (extra) principle will make a whole lot of difference for you in 2016.

4. Fall in love with your customers and keep learning better ways to reach them.
A woman in love is very creative and vibrant, ever seeking ways to satisfy her man. She goes ahead to learn how to cook new meals, acquire new bedmatics skills and anything she knows will bring joy to her man. Apply the same energy to your business. Find better ways to satisfy your customers, knowing fully well that you have competition outside. As you do this, you will eventually stumble upon skills, tips and secrets that will make your customers have eyes for no one else but you.

The feminine power of God is you. You only need wisdom to activate it. The tips listed above will help turn your Femininity on in Business and command major results. What's So Special About February 2016???


Well, amongst other things, what makes February 2016 special is the fact that it's a leap year. Yes!!! After 4 years, we get to see February 29th once again. Yippee!!! Though the day seems like every other day, there are things that make the leap year unique.

So many myths and traditions surround the leap year. According to an old Irish legend, or possibly history, St Brigid struck a deal with St Patrick to allow women to propose to men – and not just the other way around – every four years. This is believed to have been introduced to balance the traditional roles of men and women in a similar way to how leap day balances the calendar. Read more on that here.


Some scholars explain why we have leap years by saying that every four years, we add an extra day to the month of February, the month with the fewest days, to keep our calendars on track. If we didn’t do this the seasons would shift around the calendar, and in 750 years’ time June would find itself in the middle of winter (not sure I understand what they mean). Some Bible scholars, however, describe the leap year as being the product of Joshua's command to the sun to stand still in Aijalon so that ancient Israel could win victory over their enemies. Read more on that in Joshua 10:12.

I'm not here to argue for or explain the existence of the leap year. But this morning, something struck me about that word LEAP. And as I thought on it, I heard the month of February speak volumes just before it's swift departure. This year, the month of February speaks to you prophetically to take a LEAP forward in your career, destiny, business etc. Maybe it's saying to you that some opportunities will come your way this year which, if you miss, will take another cycle of four years to get back. May be that gibberish about the old Irish legend which allows ladies to propose to men on February 29th is just indirectly telling you to get more bold, radical, pushy, outgoing and forceful about life and getting the things you desire. Maybe it's saying to you that this year, you should break out of the traditional method of doing things and try something new to get what you seek. Maybe it's saying, that something extra has been added to you this year to make you succeed. Maybe... Just maybe... The summary of it all is that despite all heaven has done to position you for better things, if you fail to take the necessary LEAP per time, 2016 will slip by as just another year...

Physics (or is it science) says a body of mass remains the same except a force is applied to it (if I no get am abeg forgive me but you catch my drift sha?). Maybe February 2016 is saying to you that the force needed to take you to where you're trying to get to is for you to take that LEAP. If you don't know the LEAP to take, ask God to show it to you. So when someone asks you what today's date is, or what the time is, just simply tell them "it's time to take that LEAP". He that has an ears, let him hear what February 2016 is saying. 😁😁😁

SOME THINGS YOU NEED TO DO IN 2016



"You can't keep doing the same thing and expecting to get a different result" goes a popular saying. In other words, if your preferred mode of doing things ain't working, switch to a better one. This post is designed to help you position yourself for better results this year. Whether you’re single or married, there's something for you here. Reading it is one step, doing it is another step, the better step actually. Happy reading!

1. Commit your desires and expectations to God daily. He is committed to answering those who ask. 
2. Let go of all disappointments and pains of the past. If you need help, ask God to heal you from the pains of the past. 
3. Open your heart. Open your heart to love and forgiveness. Open your heart to new ways thinking and doing things. 
4. Look within. The process of change starts with you. 
5. Commit to continuous self-development. Self-development doesn't happen by chance; it's a reflection of your intentional effort. 
6. Become more fruitful and responsible. Your being female doesn't give you an excuse to become a liability. 
7. Believe! Believe God for good things. You are for signs and wonders in 2016. 
8. Be ready to take risks and try new things. God is working to turn everything around for your good. 
9. Prepare for what you're expecting so your unpreparedness doesn't make you miss it. 
10. Be friendly. Loosen up. When you smile at the world, it smiles back at you. 
11. Be patient with the people in your life. Deal with them with understanding. There's good in everyone, even those ones who piss you off so much. Focus on that part. 
12. Be flexible. Often, God’s miracles and destiny helpers come in containers we do not expect. 
13. Ask God to make you the wife suitable for your husband. 
14. Connect with men and women that will add something positive to your life.
