Blame It On the Guy You Fell In Love With

Hello Sis,

I know you’re presently tired of love, men and relationships and you’ve decided to permanently stay off them. You’re sick of all the drama, tears, shenanigans and have decided not to give your heart to anyone. You no longer believe in the “love crap”. But don’t blame it on love; blame it on the guy you fell in love with.

1 Corinthians 13:5 says “love is not ill-mannered, selfish or irritable..”. So you see, it wasn’t love, it was that crazy dude you hooked up with. Have you heard this saying: “he that lies down with dogs will get up with fleas”? If you hook up with a womanizer, cheat, drunk, beater, stingy guy, drugie or sex addict expecting him to love you and treat you well, you must be one of the greatest jokers of the century. Yes he will claim to love you and show you some form of affection/care but that won’t spare you from being a victim of his other side. The womanizer and cheat will still cheat on you despite his love for you. The beater will beat you black and blue if he feels like it despite his love for you. So instead of blaming it on love, why not take a closer look at the kind of guys you’ve been loving? 

Whoever keeps a scorpion or a snake as a pet should prepare to be bitten by them someday. So also, if you go into a relationship with a dysfunctional person, prepare for a dysfunctional relationship and dysfunctional treatment. It’s not about what he says; it’s about who he is. Everybody has their flipside/weaknesses. If you choose to get into a relationship with them, you get everything: the good, bad and ugly inclusive. Don’t give up on love just because you loved the wrong guys, give up on the wrong guys so you can love the right one. 

If you’re truly tired of the drama, raise your standards and keep all the drama kings away from you. If you’re tired of the games, raise your standards and don’t allow the game boys in. Soon, the circle of life will spin and give you just what you desire: the love of God flowing through a prince of God to you without the drama and games. xoxo
