Letter to My Kid Sister (pt 2)

This post is a sequel to an earlier post Letter to My Kid Sister containing a brother’s tips to his kid sister on life and how to navigate the dating world smoothly and is written by our guest blogger. The tips continue below. Happy reading!

  • Being weird around someone is a way of letting them know that you're actually comfortable with them.
  • Life is too short to stress out over people who don't matter or deserve to be a part of your life.
  • Some people just don't realize what they got, so you have to leave them for a little while just so that they notice a good thing
  • If two people are meant to be together, even if they have to go their separate ways, eventually they'll find their way back together.
  • A true love is someone who understands your past, believes in your future, and accepts you just the way you are.
  • Just because a person smiles all the time, doesn't mean their life is perfect.
  • DISCIPLINE is just choosing between what you want NOW and want you want MOST.
  • Never look for a man to solve all of your problems. Just find one that doesn't let you face them by yourself.
  • Just because you're lonely doesn't mean you have to FORCE yourself into a relationship.
  • You don't get what you WISH for, you get what you WORK for.
  • If you love someone, fight for them, and don't back down until you realize you've done all you can.
  • When you’re angry, take a deep breath before you speak, because your mouth acts quicker than your brain.
  • Find someone who knows you’re sad just by the change of tone in your voice
  • Be with someone who loves the feature(s) in you that you hate the most
  • You deserve a nice guy who texts you back and buys you flowers, doesn’t kiss other girls behind your back and who makes you laugh and thinks you’re funny.
  • You are a PROCESS, not a PROJECT. Just because you're not finished yet doesn't mean you're not growing. Trust the process
  • The moment you give up is the moment you let someone else win.
  • Everyone you meet will come with baggage, find someone who loves you enough to help you unpack and clean it up.
  • Sometimes you push them away, not because you hate them, but because you want to pull them closer.
  • It's okay to struggle, but it's never okay to give up on yourself.
  • It takes time to develop a great relationship. If you're impatient, that may be the reason why you're single.
  • People lie for two reasons: to keep from hurting someone or to hurt someone on purpose. Either way it’s wrong.
  • One mistake and everyone judges you; forgive quickly so you may be forgiven.
  • When it comes to making a big change in your life, you have to want it more than you fear it.
That’s all I can say for now sis. Don’t just read them; USE THEM. Remember, you’re fearfully and wonderfully made, God’s precious princess. Don’t sell yourself short or settle for less than deserve. Focus on living your life as well as discovering and fulfilling destiny and in the process, the man of your dreams will find you. Whatever happens, never give up on yourself; never give up on God. You know I love you but God loves you more.
